Ash Wednesday is Wednesday February 26, 2020 this year to start off the Lenten season. Lent is a 40-day season of fasting, repentance and reflection before Easter. We will attend Mass at Saint Dominic as a school, and reflect on Christ’s life during Lent, focusing on His own ultimate triumph over temptation. Lent ends with the celebration of Easter, marking Jesus’ resurrection.

St. Monica teacher Mrs. Sarah Avitalle was honored this past Friday during a Mass celebrating teachers who have reached milestones in their careers. Catholic Schools Week in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia was yet again another success! The Archdiocese is made up of 119 elementary, 17 secondary and four schools of special education across Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties, and each school celebrated in their own way.
